    The only way to get assistance is through the chat feature: there is no telephone number available for anything except billing. The operators who handle the chats are extremely rude, and when they decide they don't want to talk with you any more, they simply enter the pre-typed response "Since we haven't heard from you, we must release this chat.   • no service 8 days for review

    I have had MJ for 3 years with a 6 year license. As of 8 days ago service stopped them saying my account is under review to wait for a email. That was 8 days ago. Still today no service and when I contact customer service chat I get the same story 9-10 times I will have service after the review wait for email then get disconected from chat. This is bull crap when I paid for a 6 year use.   • Magic Jack scams you with renewal dates

    I had to renew my magic jack today as service expired on April, I paid another full year of service to get my service back. It is already June and when I checked my account they put the expiry date on April 2013 and not a year after I paid a full year of service. When I contact customer service, they keep dropping my live chat and finally third rep i talk to tells me that service renews on the date of activation and not when you reactivate.     magicjack live support is only an online support. After spending over 5 hours and still not having my problem resolved, the tech rudely disconnected me because I would not ask a friend /family member call me because it was past 12am. to confirm whether my magicjack phone could receive incoming calls.     Two years ago I purchased a MajicJack. The area I relocated to had very limited way to recieve phonelines or internet. So after viewing the majicjjack I assumed that I could save money on hook up fees. In order to enjoy modern things like cable , phone, & internet a satillie for each was needed.   • Dishonorable business practices

    I signed up with MJ in 2008. The device never worked properly and , even though I was assured there would be no problems, it was blamed on the fact that I was using it on a Mac. I was also promised the ability to get a Canadian number and that took nearly 2 years to happen. With still no decent functionality I loaned it to my son who eventually misplaced it. When I looked into a replacement, I was told they could replace but if I wanted the new MJ+, I would have to pay full price.     I have tried to find out why my MJ (annual cost already paid by credit card)shows that it is expired. It will not allow me to charge on another credit card/use MJ at all. Contacting "customer service" means typing questions to someone who makes the customer wait for an answer (eventhough they are among the 10% elite), & then customer is told that someone in the HIGHER DEPARTMENT will e-mail an answer.     My Magicjack suddenly stopped working, and I found this "Beta" screen that was trying to sell me more services, so I thought my "year Of Service" included with my purchase was up, so I went to register for the new year.     Have had MagicJack for 3 years. The quality of the phone call varies from just O.K. to horrible. When you contact tech suport, which you can only do by computer chat, get ready to spend from 2 to 8 hours on the computer. And after going through a bunch of useless steps on your computer, your Magic Jack still sounds like shit.I was stupid enough to buy it for 5 years, because of the price break.What a waste of money and time.Too bad good idea that they want make work.     i signed up for the magic jack and after repeated attempts they took my order for one year only, whereas i wanted it for 5 years. the difference being one year is 40$ and 5 year was 60$ or 69$ but they took the more profitable rate. not a big deal, but i had consistent problems with the service: QUITE OFTEN i get complaints that they cannot hear me, and many times i cannot receive calls. they refuse to give the customer service no. and force u to go thru chat format which takes a lot of time. cust. service is NOT fully informed what is going on, perhaps these are min. wage high schools...     I ordered the magicjack on line and was told that I have 30 day trail period before I will be charged for it but as soon as I received it the money was removed from my account. I tried to find a phone # but there is none I spent 45 minutes on the chat line trying toget this fixed I was sent to 3 different operators,I still so not have the credit for magicjack but they sent me an e-mail that they received th magicjack back.     Bad performance – worse customer support Had the MagicJack for several months now. The audio stopped working on most of the calls placed and received.     We ordered direct and by the 4th month we had phone problems. Called co. only to be put on hold, then ignored. it Messed up our phone service. Removed it after other communication problems. our Phone co. reinstalled our line and service. We have been had for 29.99, and speaking with our local Walgreen's Mngr. for better contact direction, Arthur advised we recontact you for a refund.   • Caller ID Feature does not exist

    I have spent over 8 hrs chatting with their tech support, they do no have any phone number to call, trying to make Caller ID work, thought it was a technical problem with my magicjack, finally their tech support admitted they do not have Caller ID, first of all, no Caller ID feature in their Outbound calls, secondly, Incoming call will have Caller ID info if you enter caller Info yourself into their Soft Dial Pad shown in you PC, as you can see, that is not Caller ID.
